Interesting. I have not heard that. I was under the impression that the copper cents will be in all Year sets produced by the mint both Proof and Uncirculated.

I find it odd that the clad cents will be in the silver proof sets, and not in the clad proof sets.
Aside from being so counter intuitive, it sounds like a trick or some sort.

I guess the only way to find out for sure, is to buy all the proof & mint sets.

Thanks Randy. It was quite the experience! You may want to check and Coin Collectors Store has the new Formative years Rail splitter singles and rolls for sale, if you are unable to get them from your dealer.

Nice job on getting the new Lincoln coins. I hope my local coin dealer will have them back instock soon. Worst case scenario I should be able to find them on ebay if I want to overpay.

There has been no break out on the production of the mintages of the Log Cabin cents. I would speculate that the P minted stopped in February with the 90 Million produced in March being the Railsplitter cents due for release in May. With the surplus of cents in vaults and lack of circulation of these first release pennies, it really wouldn't make sense to produce more Log Cabins. The D minted pennies I believe ended in March due to the low production numbers of just a mere 8 million, these were probably for the cents produced for the 2 roll Mint sets. Make sense...of course this is the perception I have based upon my tracking of the production numbers since January. Thanks for the question!
